CSL is a buy and hold stock, Warren and Charlie (RIP) will tell you that.
Sure, you can work the margins by trying to time buying. In 1999 I bought 300 CSL shares for around 10k, in the mid naughties they split 3:1 which turned the holding into 900 shares.
The first decade or so, I reinvested the dividends, since then I have been using the modest yield as quaddie money at the TAB. (Lol, not quite as solid investment as CSL shares)
Do the maths, they have been an outstanding investment over the past couple of decades. Of course, past performance is no guarantee of future performance
Even 24 years later, I still kick myself for not doubling down on my orginal purchase.
