As SCP is a property owning trust I would expect there to be no franking but possibly a significant proportion of deferred income. Please note I have not done any research on this - it can vary for example where part of the distribution is a dividend from a stapled share which forms part of your holding. Don't recall whether this was the case with SCP.

I would prefer a franking credit as a fully franked 6% return is actually worth 8.5% after you allow for the franking credit held on your behalf by the ATO.

Deferral of income is less beneficial to me as my super fund is in pension phase and not paying tax anyway - but how they compare will vary depending upon your circumstances. So you will need to consider your own situation.

I also don't like the extra accounting involved in keeping track of the deferred income!
