One of the most sensible posts I ever read on HotCopper was back in 2008 when someone lamented BHP' poor dividend.
"If you want dividends, buy the banks, not BHP"
True. Not wanting to appear to be disparaging BHP, but unfortunately, for some time, BHP has not only the to be expected poor dividend for a growth stock....but no growth as well.
