Cape Lambert will issue shares to African Minerals in two tranches: 24.57 million shares on settlement; followed by 32.59 million shares subject to approval by Cape Lambert shareholders.

It seems to me that at worst, only the 24.57 million may qualify IF settlement is prior to the ex dividend date after the dividend is declared.

However, no indication was given as to when settlement will occur. It may require shareholder approval from AIM before settlement can proceed, so maybe no div will be payable at all to AIM.

The 32M shares requiring shareholder approval may still be a way off as they will need to call an EGM I would have thought.
