as long as you purchase stock by close the day before ex-div date then you will receive the divedend payment - even if you sell on the ex-div date. I think ex-div date is next Tue 24th Aug, so you can purchase up until close of trade on Mon 23rd and receive the divendend. Note that this is dependant on which broker you use as settlement day may be a couple days after purchase (e.g. Commsec) whereas other brokers (e.g. Maquarue Prime) have settlement immediately.
