Rasberry, Last year AGO went ex dividend on 22.11.2012 and paid 3 cents to shareholders on 16.12.2012.
Within a few days of those dates AGO will repeat their dividend announcement.
Considering their huge cash position now, and the large cash profit they are currently making,it is possible they could increase their dividend, or pay a special dividend or capital return back to shareholders ?
As mines are becoming more less profitable to mine with the lower price of iron ore coupled with rising costs some companies return capital to shareholders.
Hopefully this time its AGO ?
I have brought in as they appear to be safe with the huge cash balance on hand, and their ability to make a profit on iron ore even at the low price of $80, it is currently approx. $130 and currently the share price is low,, and hope for the above to happen.
