Any company that supplies a2 with milk or product can not compete with a2 without a2's permission - a2 owns the the rights to any a2 milk collected by those suppliers. Currently Synlait, Fonterra and Freedom Foods fall into that category. If they want to sell it as a1 milk they can however.
