AFI is dipping into reserves at just over 3 cents a share to pay the 10 cent divvie, both MLT and AFI had profit drops in the mid 40 percent range. percentage wise both made about 1.3 cents per dollar based on their present share value. But I do agree with you AFI does seem to have a more even payout. Also AFI has a wider investment mandate than MLT / BKI they have NZ investments.
