This is somewhat misleading. You cant really suggest divy will be anywhere near last time. Profit forecast to fall from a $1B to about $100M.
As for VBA DYOR. Go to virgin blue website and try and book a ticket to LAX in the next couple of weeks. Fares are rock bottom so that tells me load factors are well below expectations. In simple terms these US flights are hemoraging at the moment. Tiger cutting into load factors on the key MEL-SYD route is another reason to be cautious.
Only think going well for the airlines at the moment is the price of fuel.
