    The obsession with divs is crazy...

    You have a whole batch of new investors who have piled in the last month to chase the anticipated div. Why would the Co. pay out a bucket load of extra cash for these guys to take & run with just because it's now trading at circa $8 versus circa $5 a month ago? 40c payout on $5 is a superior yield to just about anything else in the ASX200 as is!

    BBs directly re-invest 100% of earnings into the company reducing SOI permanently which benefits all investors especially those who stick around longer than a couple minutes (particularly when it's trading at stupid valuations irrespective of how you break it down / ESG).

    Then you can dive further into the weeds regarding the most efficient way to distribute franking credits etc.
