You are right to think MML is unloved. This is predominantly due to long ago issues that are much resolved now. With no hedging, they are now raking in cash and soon to announce restoration of dividend payments. This will surely spike the interest of value investors.
There is single jurisdiction risk but this can not account for the current valuation.
i would recommend you read groundhog’s posts to get some further insights and history.
With gold heading into a new upswing and dividends coming, I firmly believe the patient MML investor will be rewarded soon.
