when asessing dividends the accountants add the franking credits to the div to create a pretax income.
the franking credits are income.
on today's price this results in a pretax yield of around 10.6 % based on the latest annual divs (inc franking)
my investment strategy is always based on divs. i topped up $20k at $4.20 and will DRP that for the next 15 years till i retire.
the TPG network wont come into effect for 2 years till they get it built so divs shouldnt be affected .
i expect a rebound and TLS was at a low point in its cycle anyway with perhaps an upturn imminent
