I remember chatting to a US guy in the markets a while back. We were discussing the higher dividends in OZ vs US. This was even the case before Franking Credits.
Anyhow. his attitude. along the lines of
why would a company give me my money back. reinvest it. make more money. I'll just sell some shares of I need income. I'm adopting that attitude here.
