i think you misunderstand what i am getting at.

i am not just talking about creating a spike in the sp to satisfy daytraders....they don't care less as long as the volume is there.

but i'am talking about ways of stabilising the sp and adding strength to it and some decent PR where the current perception of dividends being many years away are addressed.
By omitting such an important driver of the sp from the announcement they have imho created the wrong impression.
shoot me down if you will but that's the way i see it.
They should have come in much harder with yesterday's announcement.

far more leverage to be gained when you are walking into a boardroom with the backing of a strong sp......

perception and looking the part...it's just part of the game when bargaining for a deal.
