Thanks spruik. I went down that path a very long time ago and went and spoke to the embassy of the relevant country to make sure I wasn't caught off guard had things suddenly changed. I was told by some very kind ladies there to keep the kids passports somewhere safe and that's enough. If she were to just up and leave any court regardless of where would fall in my favour. There's ways to get him out of the country but she would be ruined in the courts. If anyone looks at this in the future you need to get that sorted through the magistrates and the best place to call is a family lawyer. It will cost about 2 to 4 grand but isn't as fool proof as keeping the kids passports safe. I guess I just wanted to know how things worked out custodial wise. My uncle got wrecked by his wife so I don't like my chances of things working out well.
