Two bits of advice from experience.
Be generous but protect yourself. There is nothing wrong with protecting yourself. Go and see a lawyer, you dont have to act on their advice but they will have the paperwork ready to go should you ring them. You can get some kind of injunction if you do it early that stops your son from being taken further than a certain distance from where the family was living. The lawyer can have that ready to go should you wish to enact it but you have to do it before any legal action.
The next bit of advice is.
