I haven't had a bad experience. Such a thing hasn't happened to me but I'm thinking it may have been more luck than judgement. Believe me I know some unreal stories so I suggest just taking what Kenneth says onboard at least. Sounds like your situation is balanced anyway so not too bad. Hope you have a great time.
In an unbalanced situation you are completely relying on your partner's integrity and desire to stay. If they decide to gut you there is nothing you can do. Just ask Paul Macartney. There is no justice in the system sometimes and I can understand how people can become very cynical.
