    Amac,

Groundhog day is a good analogy, marriage will always encounter such times, it could be weeks, months or years. A marriage needs work for it to succeed, it must evolve throughout the years in keeping with the changes in prioriies that both spouses will encounter. The young years of marriage where there are no kids will change dramatically when kids arrive and a family is born. The kids will change as they grow older and so the parents focus or proirities will shift accordingly (or should).

This is where marriages can break down, one spouse may move with the life changes, the other may not. A friend of mine was one who could not adapt to being a father and a husband. He adores his kids but he became restless. He sought what he assumed to be greener pastures only to find those pastures were full of noxious weeds. Now he has nobody, his attractive former wife has met a new man who is now referred to as dad number 2. My mate goes to bed alone in a flat each night as daddy number 2 tucks HIS children in to bed each night.
