I'm not sure people realise how much and how deeply divorce affects kids. We lived on the Gold Coast for a year 2007 and my daughter went to school and made many friends. What amazed me was that they were ALL from broken marraiges of one type or another.My daughter used to comment that they loved coming to our place although we weren't flash by any means,but the kids loved the family atmosphere....the BS and carry on and general good humour. These kids were largely left to their own devices....mum was working....or.well....any number of reasons. whatever else they may project I really think a lot of these kids would love life to be ordinary ,conventional....and just a little bit predictable, with a bit of caring discipline in the mix.
