I really wonder if the iSoft purchase is a good idea... possible accounting irregularities may bring hidden liabilities and extra costs later. It really sounds like iSoft are not in a position to be able to deliver a working solution to the NHS, in which case you would expect the contract to be terminated and be put up for tender. In my view it would be far less expensive and much less risky for IBA to wait for that to happen and then put in a bid for the contract. The downside there would be if some other company buys iSoft and successfully manages to fulfill the NHS contract, in which case IBA miss out on the opportunity.
