Not sure what you mean on how to "find" a DIY fund.
Do it....
But remember there are economics of scale that suggets unless you have a sufficently large enough fund (not sure exactly on the quantum but when i was looking at ti many years ago the figure was >100K)there are advantages in being in a fund.
Remember you have to budget for audits and accountancing fees so talk to your acc. If ya got a good one he's worth his (sorry maybe her) weight in gold.
there's also plenty of statutary responsibilities that go with the freedom.
