Does seem like a large capital outlay would be required and a lot of time to set up. I wouldn't necessarily be so keen on day trading with instantaneous data, probably moreso swing trading so the instantaneous data and resources might not be necessary.
Just compiling research and resources atm but seems that even just platforms with an appropriate api to launch an algorithmic trades are costly and more resources seem to be available on the US exchange. Has anyone had much success trading on US stocks from Aus employing their own algorithms?
