Some of the tips here are correct.... money outlay for data, hardware, location and speed.
Open Markets is rubbish..... you need OS platform and host to put your own in.
You need Python skills... can you code.. do you have coders ? there are plenty of back testers for free.. but, you need to spend $$$$$ and get your own back test lab.
Do not rely on providers in OZ land... it's all rubbish and they do not let you do what u want or should. unless you have a license or someone in your group with one.
Mark a mate that is also an oldie here... from old group... got smashed last GFC trying to play hero... got smashed by banks playing against his executables..... know what you are doing or you will lose money
