On the news today, Mining workers unions asking for an agreement to prohibit the opening of any new mines to safeguard workers jobs. I dont think they need to worry too much with the natural attrition taking place within the industry.
I think the Recipe for making a good small mine is to start with a big one and hire Michelmore.
