All those listed in The Age online, are since 2007 and were banned by the relevant Minister of the day?
They were all banned or deported because the Minister made a value or character decision on their planned entry here, or in effect took a 'dislike to' them. Or in your words "
he wants to deport people the government take exception to".
So it's okay by you, for the likes of Dutton and Karen Andrews and Hawke to ban and or deport criminal rappers, right wing activists and four anti-vaxxers but not okay to deport a tennis-playing, socialist-left anti-vaxxer who you dearly want here to spread Covid unfettered in our community during a Covid pandemic like he has done in Italy, Serbia and possibly in other EuroZone States.
Do please explain Novax's reckless close indoor contact with many adults and children immediately after testing positive on the 16th December and please spare me the" I didnt know I was positive on the 17th" crap.
Any caring, unselfish person would've checked online to see his test result prior to engagements or like here in Oz isolated until he got the result!

The rapper was banned from entering the country in 2007 over a string of convictions for drugs and firearms offences.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard
Actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were barred from Australia in 2015 after they failed to declare their dogs, Pistol and Boo, to customs officials.

Bassem Tamimi
Tamimi, a Palestinian activist, was banned by Dutton from travelling in 2017. The government argued there was a “risk that members of the public will react adversely to Mr Tamimi’s presence in Australia regarding his views of the ongoing political tensions in the Middle East”.

There is precedent for Australia banning anti-vaccination activists. Heckenlively, the self-described “world’s #1 anti-vaxxer”, was denied a visa by immigration minister Peter Dutton in 2017. Dutton said he did not want the American influencing parents into avoiding vaccination for their children.
6/ & 7/ Dutton used the same approach that year to Polly Tommey, from Britain, and American Suzanne Humphries, banning them each for three years after they aired a film in Australia that said, wrongly, that vaccines and autism were linked
