A tactical approach, like pulling the pin on a hand grenade but not letting go of the release mechanism.

Unfortunately I dropped it at my feet

I would normally have gone 3X whatever the FTSE was at my tipping time then rounded it up or down to suit a fav number.

It would of been 131.13 or 113.13 last night if I had followed my personal rules but I’m not a slow learner, just a quick forgetter.
