The point you make about DLS potential is correct. BPT management know that, hence the T/O offer.
BPT have been doing deals all over the place during the last few months to exploit the Cooper Basin assets (e.g. SEA, ICN, Rentech).
Why sell out of DLS now? I'm actually wondering whether BPT can use their JV arrangements with these other companies as vehicles for acquiring parcels of DLS. I understand BPT reducing their holding in DLS for a tidy profit. I just don't see why they would exit completely with the plans they've got.
Incidentally, who is buying DLS? Massive volumes have been going through. Is it just traders? Or is DLS in play?
Wish I had some answers. Maybe in the next month or so.
