I've been thinking lately, is there an international expansion strategy mentioned at all by the CL8 team?
Don't get me wrong, I'm thinking well into the future, but with the likes of AirBnb and Uber having successful international growth is CL8 interested in pursuing outside of Australia? But even they took around2- 4 years of market validation before it kicked off like it has.
Obviously CL8 need to build their business in Australia first before they can even think of going overseas, make a reputable name for themselves, have the right infrastructure and systems in place to commit to another market.
As i see it, its not as easy as just opening their business into international markets, i know for a fact in New Zealand if you want to rent your car through a company like DMC you need to get your car checked out and issued a 'Certificate of Transport' (i think thats what it is called) which says that the car is legally roadworthy to rent the car out, and thats $80.
Then you have the insurance barrier too.
Open to discussions, thats what this forum is all about
