Moruya Gold Project(DMN 70%) COST TO DRILL $170,000
During the Quarter, Oroya received the results from the second phase of regional scale
geochemical sampling, undertaken in February 2009, to infill and extend the previous program
completed in late 2008.???
Stream sediment sampling involved an additional 45 bulk leach extractable gold (BLEG) and 45
stream sediment multi‐element (SSME) samples, taking the total number to 199 BLEG and 199
SSME samples.
Fourteen additional rock chip samples were also taken in a number of areas of interest during
Phase 2, bringing the program total to 85 rock chip samples.
Results
For gold, 19 BLEG results were recorded above a nominal significance threshold of 5ppb gold,
to a maximum of 279.3ppb gold, while 51 SSME results were recorded above 5ppb gold, to a
maximum of 1500ppb (1.5g/t) gold at Bimbimbie.???
Multi‐element? ? minus 80 mesh stream sediment (SSME) sampling responses reflect useful
geochemical correlations between gold and arsenic, mercury, bismuth, molybdenum and
antimony, although no strong association between gold and silver was demonstrated in this
work.???
Rock chip sampling yielded 33 samples reporting gold values above 1000ppb (1g/t) gold, to a
maximum of 107,000ppb (107g/t) gold at Bimbimbie, mostly around areas of existing
workings.? ? The results confirm the exceptionally high grades for which the area has been
historically noted.???
Other rock chip multi‐element responses are useful in the exploration context, with high gold
values correlating directly with elevated arsenic, bismuth, molybdenum, lead and antimony.??
In contrast to the multi‐element stream sediment results, rock chip sampling demonstrated a
strong association between gold and silver, with all but one of the silver values above 1.03g/t
silver corresponding with the highest gold responses, up to a maximum of 6.86g/t silver with
the maximum gold response of 107,000ppb (107g/t) gold.??
Two trial soil sampling traverses were also undertaken approximately 1.5 kilometres north
and 750 meters south of Flanagans Mine in the northeastern part of the licence area, involving
a total of 38 Soil minus 80 mesh and 38 Soil BLEG samples, to confirm strike continuity of the
interpreted north‐south structure linking the Shamrock, Holmes, Bimbimbie and Flanagans
Mines.???
The northernmost line of 18 samples reported 12 Soil BLEG gold values above the nominal
threshold of 2ppb, up to a maximum of 17.8ppb gold.??The corresponding Soil minus 80 mesh
gold values on this line were of similar orders of magnitude, with 11 values of 2ppb or above,
up to a maximum of 9.8ppb gold.???
The southern soil traverse of 20 samples yielded generally lower order gold values to maxima
of BLEG 3.9ppb gold and minus 80 mesh 2ppb gold.??
The trial soil traverses show that this technique will be useful for continued exploration in this
area.
Tenement
Exploration licences EL6746 and EL6747 were granted in April 2007.??
In March 2009, as part of the statutory reduction requirements, Oroya applied to reduce the
licence areas.? ? Areas shown by sampling to be unresponsive or unlikely to support the
preferred target models were surrendered, in accord with Oroya?s established strategy of
identifying prospective zones and then shedding all surplus ground to reduce expenditures
and enable greater focus on target refinement.
Phase 2 follow‐up, infill and extension stream, rock chip and soil sampling were undertaken
within the retained areas in February 2009.
Conclusions??
The four complementary sampling programs have successfully identified gold anomalies with
supporting pathfinder multi‐element signatures in four gold anomalous zones on major north‐
south linear structures, all of which warrant further exploration.????
The 10 kilometre long Holmes ? Bimbimbie ? Flanagans trend is associated with a shallowly
west‐dipping gold‐mineralized thrust zone at or within the eastern contact of two granite
plutons and is continuous across their contact, consistent with it being a structural feature
that developed later than granite emplacement.
It is emphasized that this work was not intended to identify economic values in the first
instance but to identify useful geochemical targets for further exploration aimed at identifying
drill targets.???
The current target and work priorities in order of priority are as follows:
? Wagonga hard‐rock gold mining area.
? Northern granite areas such as the Mogendoura and Bimbimbie gold anomalous zones.??
? The overlapping Wagonga and Whittakers groups of gold workings.
? The southern part of the Donkey Hill Fracture Zone.
