This was my entire point. I wasn't judging one business as 'better' than the other or that one is a better purchase, or that the stock price of one would deliver better returns over the other.
Very off topic, but this was a recent discussion over in a mining forum between 2 companies, where (like yourself in this instance) I own both and expect both to perform similarly, but I always expect the PE of NST to be greater than the PE of EVN. FWIW, I'm far heavier in the 'laggard' or lower PE stock.
My interest in Dominoes isn't long term if I'm honest. I have been in since about $30, and will be probably be out if this trades above $40. Between there I'm content to trade in and out.
