I think the report said they are aiming for 1600 stores in Japan, revenue in Japan is already $100 million more than Aus and they still have another 800 (?) stores to open.
I went past one of their competitors, Pizza-La today & they have a tiny 20% off for Pick-up, despite having more expensive pizza but Dominos have 50% off. Retail experience of shops, shop fronts, experience inside stores is totally different for Dominos.
For me the price has always been too expensive, but keeps going up except for the recent drops. For me for the time being I am sticking to my ETF that has about 4-5% DMP in it along with a ton of other ASX for a safer bet.
