I previously held a position in DMP but exited due to concerns around strategic and operational execution. Buffett’s recent move into DPZ prompted a reassessment. Both DMP and DPZ operate under the same global brand, leveraging a capital-light, franchise-driven model with strong unit economics and recurring cash flow. Buffet’s investment reflects confidence in the Domino’s system as a durable, cash-generative business. While DMP has faced significant challenges, its potential as a turnaround may be under appreciated. At current levels, this could be more a mispriced opportunity than a broken model. What I’d like to see: - more streamlined menu - value for money - shift away from gimmicks and novelty items - focus on execution consistency - shift away from rapid expansion into territories without cultural alignment - rebuild investor trust via greater transparency and exceeding targets GLTAH
