Received these replies from a very senior exec at the DMR.

"I do have a difficulty answering your questions. You want to know when the decision will be made regarding Garatau and Tubatse. I don't know. It helps no one to try and speculate. It will come when it does."


"It would be foolhardy for me to say that there is no concern At the same time, the minister was very clear about what we are doing within the confines of the Act and the areas where we are making changes. I enclose the speech the minister delivered at the Mining Indaba as well a press
conference the day before.

I hope it will clear some of the uncertainties and minister's thinking."


Until the DMR dramatically changes its views on the assignment of Prospecting Rights to NKP I still remain positive for a good resolution on both Garatau and Tubatse.

HOWEVER.... you can make up your own minds.
