All,
Through a little research and different sources a 1mtpa feed rate DMS plant would cost about $4m. For hypothetical purposes: To buy and construct the plant in Australia would likely cost around $9m. Associated infrastructure such as process water dams, pumps, piping and tailings dam etc is likely to be around another $5m.
Im yet to confirm but my sources place the unit cost at around 4$/t of feed.
That's for the DMS plant alone which would still require primary and secondary crushing which could be achieved for around $10/t.
These estimates are based on a hypothetical Australian operation - and are likely to be significantly lower in Southern Africa where labour, materials and mobilisation costs are likely to be lower.
Im continuing to work on an independent feasibility study towards a reasonable reserve estimate and NPV calculation. Much further work is required for mining, haulage, possible shipping and possible toll treatment or inhouse processing estimation. Not to mention associated infrastructure and overheads etc. The JORC resource and model will need to be used to update the calcs when it is available. Im working on it.
