it was benefit of foresight - not hindsight.

go back and read my posts of 2-3 weeks ago. its just math and how brokers work - and the somewhat odious nature of that option deal - which fleeces grandmums and young blokes having a crack.

the etthics-lite nature of such deals is partly why ive been commenting - in case others werent seeing what i was.

but i think you have misunderstood- i am not saying people should be trading in and out.

as per my sentiment post - personally if i was already in Id just hold through whatever ST weakness happens from here.

my comments were about buying new stock - not people already in position.

and yes - there's obviously always the risk of being out of a stock when it announces something big.

but usually there's a gestation period of 1-2 months before they drop material news when ive seen this kind of behaviour previously.

it is always a game of calculating risk
