Chris, I am always suspicious of this type of article. Looks like a bit of a setup, and the scale of the land in question is minute and easily rectified with respectful negotiation and compensation. Seems well within the resources of DNI. I understand it is not in the area CGM may commit itself to.
If a photographer wants to exploit a scene you would expect they would take shots of the worst damage. The headline is misleading, in that when I first saw it, I thought the worst, the whole village was in uproar. Its like Maxwell Smart saying, "Your are surrounded by the Seventh Fleet...eh..would you believe two angry fishermen in a rowing boat". Could also be dirty tricks of others seeking to get a foothold too. Seen that before.
