I speculate that the buy back was the terminated CEO’s idea (lol but it was actually my idea on hotcopper) also if they buy back shares, they give more control to the Ceo and his management camp, hence the current management is trying to defeat a fight for power, so it won’t be in there interests to buy back shares and give a higher voting power to the terminated ceo. So maybe the buy back goes on ice? For now, until the leadership challenge is flushed! Just my thoughts cheers ST
