in my world, cows only need 50 litres per day in the middle of summer at the hottest temperatures - the rest of the time it is around 15-20 litres per day. The dry feed number equates to efficiency conversion as well as protein (plus a couple of other variables). I would be hoping for a 25-35% grazing efficiency conversion rate, assuming improved pastures. Surface water is vital.
