I was trying to convert some of my BTC to stables on Bitget some days ago, and I noticed there are a few other options besides the popular USDT, USDC.
Some of them like SBC, USDR and RLUSD I've actually heard of before, the others not at all, and it got me thinking about how the first two became the most popular.
I think it solely has to do with the timing, because many of them like USD1 are also pegged to the US dollar and are quite safe, but not as popular as the big USDT or USDC.
