    1/ You have researched the stock thoroughly and find it to be undervalued, and

    2/ Are diligent in your analysis, and confident in your own abilities, and

    3/ Provided no better opportunities have arised in the mean time, then...


    ... averaging down is the only sensible option, provided adding to your additional position does not lead you to being excessively overweight the stock once consideration of its risk profile has been given consideration.
