So a woman/girl and female are not the same ?
If you want to consider the meaning of words and their etymology they do change over time.
Man, wife-man, woman.
Once upon a time a woman was considered in some Indo-European spheres to be “someone during their biological (child bearing) function,” amongst other definitions.
A woman is probably whatever society thinks it is at the time.
One day it might be a contraption that can grow children if ethical considerations allow.
