ignoring the shifts in language once upon a time a woman was actually someone with xx chromosomes which was generally but big always manifested by the presence of female sexual characteristics.
A male was defined by xx chromosomes and not merely by the presence of male sexual organs. As we all know some men have a penis that is scarcely worth mentioning (apologies to those in that situation)
now however a woman is someone who feels they are a woman and sexual apparatus have little to do with it though some feel the need to change those
the terminology of female, male, woman, man and whether it describes sex or gender, or gender identity is much more confused than it was a few years ago.
it is however not simply those terms that are being challenged but words that have typically been used to describe females in particular. Breast vs chest for example. Mother vs birthing parent, and so on
