I don't know how successful the procedure before implantation of the embryo was ar even if it wasn't apocryphal, but it was a thing. unethical imo. but hey cappie, science is progressing rapidly these days. hang out a couple more years and you just might be able to change your chemistry as well. as Parsifal said, soon they'll be able to do a full hystero implant and the new uterus will do the rest as most of the different hormones etc are produced in the uterus. so the Monty Python dilemma of a mans right to give birth will be enabled.

Scott, I will give it a miss. I’m not really using the equipment I was born with as much as I would like, bugger having to learn how to use a new set of tools.
