Also, spoke to someone in China, and the retail price for "manderin oranges" or tangerines from jiangxi is 15 rmb per kilo. So that's approx $3 aud per kg. In Australia they range from $4-5 Aud per kg. Price seems inline to me.
Ok now to dfms numbers. 2015/16 = 142 000 tons = 142,000,000 kg .
They made approx 125m rev from tangerines, so they are getting just under $1 a kg.
So in summary, don't believe this idiot, the company is not under reporting revenue. End consumer pays $3 a kg. Dongfang sells it for under $1. Retailer makes $2. All legit.
