    Are there costs in kina? The kina has been stronger than the A$. Its a major influence on the performance of the gold stocks. Also rand has been weeker so south african golds could be starting to outperform after years of underperformance. Remember they rocketed off initially and spent years giving it all back.

    Or maybe the a volcano blew up lihir island. :)
