    Obviously I'm simplifying things.
    A weak US dollar could be a sign of market weakness or uncertainty, which could push prices down.
    That being said.. correlation often doesn't equal causation.
    Flip side, is that when commodity prices are high, Australian economy is strong, which can contribute to a higher $A.
    But yeah, assuming good business conditions, technically a high USD:AUD should be good for Australian resource companies (most anyway).
    I'm no economist.. this is just my basic understanding.
