So when Jesus says He will send an Advocate . . . , advocate means a champion, a promoter, an upholder of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not the champion of itself. So it clearly means a new Teacher, in fact it is likely the Messiah the Jews have awaited to fulfil all their prophecies that Jesus did not fulfil.

So have a think before you just punch out a no, because it is not just the Holy Spirit, the Advocate is the founder of a new religion in the name of the Holy Spirit.

As for the rest of your post, what non-CC Christians tend to overlook when they keep making new sects is that why do they imagine that God is somehow trapped by the Gordian Knot of Christianity? Must God rely only on a failing Christian religious landscape to uplift and educate humanity? Of course not, just send a new Teacher and build a new religion as was done through all the records ages of the Bible.

Nar mate, God the Father is Spirit and that Spirit is the Holy Spirit (Advocate/Comforter) and he dwelt in Jesus, who appeared to be the First Spiritual Temple.
He, the Father did not come in human form.

Hence the OT literal Temples were a foreshadow of the Spiritual to come.
Those of God now, are supposed to be the Temple/House of God and based on the snippet of verses I gave you, no more prophets etc are necessary.
The Spirit of truth = God, would take all of Jesus's words and lead you through them, teach you, hence NO Chinese whisper
John 14:17 - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
Now if you look at 1 & 2 Cor on us being the Temple, the one dwelling in your Temple, is the one referenced here.

He (Father) was dwelling in Jesus John 14:10, hence when Jesus was to go, not only would they be without him, but the Father as well, hence he said I will another.

Most say this is referring to Jesus and the NT shows us that the Jesus to be was the firstborn of creation, the beginning of the creation of God, all this is within God's inner plans, right where your creations begin.

Heb 7:21 - but Jesus became a priest with an oath by the One who said to Him: "The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind: 'You are a priest forever.'"
He now by inheritance has the name The Word of God from The Word and one of the meanings of the name is, He is the God and Fathers Key representative for the word of God.
God has placed all things under his feet, until death no more, when the Son then hands over the Kingdom, and is then subject to the Father, so he (Father) can be all in all.

That is the plan and as the above shows, he doesn't change his mind.
Moses and Co, were a type of foreshadow of what was to come = Jesus, game now over so to speak, no new prophets or religions.

The Advocate/Comforter is the beginning of the Spiritual times, God and Jesus should be doing the teaching, but Jesus more so emphasized that the God and Father, the Spirit of truth would be doing it.
