It might be wishful thinking on my part but I'd like to think that the SPP is actually Plan B or even Plan C and that Plans A&B are already in the pipeline in the form of debt funding and JV (or something else that we haven't even thought of). Despite his advancing years I have no doubt that RC remains a very creative thinker and could surprise us all. He has made it clear on prior occasions that he has made a number of people extremely wealthy in the past. He has hinted at the willingness of those loyal high net worth followers to support him as and when needed. So let's hope that he's prepared to tap them on the shoulder for some interim funding (perhaps in return for an issue of preference shares?) and that they're prepared to back him if he finds himself running out of more conventional funding options. Obviously I'm just speculating here but I feel far from pessimistic as far as AKK is concerned.
