If I had a choice I would definitely prefer a buyback to a consolidation. At least with a buyback it willl increase my share of the yellow coming out of the ground as I wont be selling. A consolidation is just for the psychological affect to try and kick the share price along.
I know the share price is a big issue for some but let it take care of itself. I am not fussed on roadshows etc that are aimed at pumping the price. If the show can get a few more big insto's in and help stabilise the company then thats not a bad motive.
Lots of people continually post that the fundamentals are solid and FML is on the road up (I agree). I personally bought in because I want a share of the gold not because I want the share price to go up so I can sell em. I may sell in the future but thats a long way off. If they can deliver all the holders their cut in the profits then the share price will move accordingly.
I dont expect a divvy any time soon, but yes I definitely want one at some stage.
Probably the thing I am most happy about with FML is the mangement. This is what gives me the confidence in this stock. If they choose to consolidate, buy back, pay a divvy or whatever then so be it. I am confident in them to make the right decision. They have done exceptionally well so far and I am backing them to continue doing so.
The day to day happenings of the market are fascinating but are only significant for the traders. Good luck to them, one day I might even do some myself. In the meantime I will continue to watch with interest but I have made my choice and will stick to it. Something very bad would have to happen for me to sell.
P.S.
I know the nickel is a temptation that is always in the background but I would prefer if they let it sleep for now. Especially at this early stage in their profitability as a company. Nickel mining can be a graveyard for small and big companies alike, volatile prices and high cost mining/processing. One thing for sure is that they are a huge cash drain. I dont think Little ol FML could handle this anytime soon. Maybe when it grows up a bit.
have fun all
