Do we have a problem with our R&D tax rebates?

The AFR is running a story this morning about issues relating to R&D incentive and how the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science is cracking down on claims.

Apparently even Airtasker got hit.

Daniel Petre from Airtree Ventures said: it is vital for the future prosperity of Australia that the government quickly addresses the fact its most important scheme for supporting start-ups is not suited for software companies."

So seeing MYQ is a software company, and they might have to pay all R&D credits back, any idea on how they will fund it? I'm pretty sure that was the only source of income in the last 18 months or so
